Day 3- More Ft. Myers

Day 3 can be summed up pretty easily.

Too much sun.

And waaaaaay too much beer.

Unfortunately we don't have many photos from last night. A bunch of people came over to the house, we all drank a lot of beer, Steve had what must have been like five measures of rum with a dash of coke, we ate the best salmon, we ate the best ribs i've ever tasted... oh boy. [Special mention to Auntie Dot's artichoke dish. It gets the Scottish Stevie seal of approval and yes, it did include mayonnaise]

Just as people are leaving our new friends Chris and Rachel take us to the Buddha Bar. This was the greatest bar ever. Baseball on a big projector, MMA on the tv screens, like 8 dart boards with Americans who can't play darts, a metal band playing awesome covers of Kid Rock, and, best of all, pitchers of Bud Lite for $5. So, like a dollar for a glass of beer. We had so much beer. We also drank this beer a lot quicker than we would normally, as Rachel was pouring salt from a shaker into the beer. We haven't figured out why yet, but apparently that's how she drinks her beer. It tasted of salt.

Neil has found a few photos on his phone.

Here is the band.

Steve just remembered they were called 'Salty Tuna'. Fantastic.

We get kicked out at 2AM, get a cab back home, and wake up this morning hungover to hell. Maybe actually in hell, it's like 90 degrees and 90% humidity. Being hungover in this weather is the worst.

So thanks very much to Chris and Rachel for giving us our first night out of the trip, it was totally bad ass.

  2. Ok so i have finally got round to commenting! It looks awesome. I was extremely jealous until i spent some time on public transport in Manchester in 30 degree heat, at that point I realised I maybe wouldnt deal well.

I have my money on Neil being under the towel in that photo - Neil why dont you have a hat yet!? Suddenly realised we hadnt discussed the fact that its highly probable 1 of you will pick up a dodge american accent. I recon the most likey is English Glen due to his tendancy to slip into an english accent. If your not street by the time Mike arrives Il be disapointed.
    Happy driving x
